The Senate on Monday passed a short-term government funding bill and sent it to the House, where a vote could come as early as Wednesday. A key House committee voted 8-4 to advance the legislation early on Wednesday, sending it to the House floor for consideration.
The bill would fund the government through Jan. 30 and provide funding for some government agencies for the remainder of the fiscal year.
